Event Details

Come on out to Armstrong woods for a leisurely hike through the Redwoods. Take in the beautiful scenery as we practice skills learned in the home and clinic setting such as staying close, community safety, and following directions. We will also be doing a scavenger hunt for the kids as they follow along soaking in the beauty of Sonoma County. Families should remember to bring sunscreen, plenty of water, as well as snacks and a picnic lunch as there will be many chances to stop and eat along the way. The entire family is welcome to come and ACES always encourages getting siblings involved as peer role models as we practice new skills in the community. There is no charge to go to Armstrong Woods but parking is $10 per vehicle. It is recommended to arrive early to ensure a close parking spot. Group will be meeting in front of the store/gift shop at the entrance of the park.

If you have any interest in attending this fun event, please contact your supervisor and let them know as soon as possible as staff may be limited.

This is not a drop off event, parents are required to stay with their child and participate in 100% of the event.

Please note, Armstrong Woods requests that pets stay home as to help maintain the quality of trails throughout the park.
