Event Details

UC San Diego’s Autism Center of Excellence (ACE) is hosting a live-registration event to sign up families who have a child diagnosed with ASD for the largest national autism genetics research study! SPARKforAutism seeks to recruit 50,000 individuals diagnosed with ASD and their biological family members to uncover the genetic causes of ASD in order to transform our understanding of autism and help improve the lives of individuals affected by autism and their families. Over 14,000 families nationwide are already participating!
  • Participating is free and only requires registering, completing on-line questionnaires, and providing a saliva sample
  • Families are eligible to receive Amazon gift codes valued up to $50 (limit 1 per family)
  • Have access to the latest research, articles and informative webinars relating to autism
  • Receive results from surveys and genetic analyses, free of charge (only 5-10% of families will have findings)

As this is a genetic study, we ask that both biological parents, individual diagnosed with ASD and any siblings willing to participate attend the event! Families must be able to complete the registration and consent forms in English.

RSVP is required! To reserve a spot or to learn more about the study, please contact us: (858) 534-6906 or mshir@ucsd.edu
