What is Compassionate ABA Therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an ethical play-based therapy using the science of learning and behavior. It helps us understand how behavior works, how behavior is affected by the environment, and how learning takes place. ABA the ACES way is a flexible, humanistic, empathy-based treatment that uses naturalistic interventions and can be adapted to the individual needs of each unique person. Parent involvement is at the core of our care. Want to see our full-family approach in action? Check out the video below.

Our Services

There are so many ways we’re able to help. At ACES, we offer a comprehensive suite of treatment methodologies that we can tailor to you and your family’s needs.
Applied Behavior Analysis
We focus on improving specific behaviors such as social skills, reading, and academics, as well as adaptive skills like fine motor dexterity, hygiene, punctuality, and domestic capabilities.
Pivotal Response Training
PRT is a method of applying Applied Behavior Analysis. It builds on clients’ initiative and interests, and is particularly effective for developing communication, language, play, and social skills.
Discrete Trial Training
DTT is a structured technique within Applied Behavior Analysis that breaks down skills into small, “discrete” components. In this way, we can teach clients each skill one by one.
Social Skills Training
SST is a structured method whereby we help clients understand and improve a wide range of social skills. It can be worked on either individually or in a group setting, and is often used as one component of a broader care program.
Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)
A powerful therapy for those with little-to-no communication skills, PECS is an approach that allows clients to communicate a wide variety of requests, thoughts, and feelings through the use of images.
Visual Strategies
Visual strategies include visual schedules, choice boards, tools to give information, tools to manage behavior, and more. Through this approach, we’re able to significantly impact a client’s ability to successfully participate in school and at home.
