🥪 Open ACES: Sandwich Day - Stack It, Snack It, Bite It!

A fun, hands-on activity where kids get to play chef and make their own tasty sandwich creations. It's a great way to build confidence in the kitchen and enjoy some yummy fun!

This class is designed to help children develop essential life skills in a fun, supportive environment, all while enjoying the rewards of their hard work. During this class, participants will focus on:

• ⁠🧀Social Interaction: Working collaboratively with peers, sharing tasks, and engaging in positive conversations during the session.

• 🥑⁠Following Directions: Practicing step-by-step instruction following.

• 🥣⁠Waiting and Turn-Taking: Learning patience and cooperation as participants take turns making sandwich.

• 🥬⁠Self-Advocacy: Encouraging children to express preferences, such as asking for help during the activity.

• 🍞⁠Fine Motor Skills: Strengthening motor coordination through tasks like stacking the sandwich and using utensils.

• ⁠🍴Daily Living Skills: Gaining practical cooking experience, including preparation, cleanup, and understanding food safety.

This interactive class is not only a recipe for fun but also a valuable opportunity to build independence, confidence, and essential life skills—one sandwich at a time!
