Community Integration Program (CIP)

Join us for a special holiday outing as we explore a festive parade and dazzling light displays! This community integration experience offers children the opportunity to practice essential life skills while enjoying the magic of the season. Our supportive team will guide participants as they work on:

• Social Interaction: Engaging in positive conversations and social exchanges with peers and community members in a lively, real-world setting.

• Navigating Public Spaces: Learning to move safely and confidently in a busy environment, including staying with the group and following directions.

• Waiting and Turn-Taking: Practicing patience while waiting in line or for events to start, fostering cooperative behavior in a community setting.

• Self-Advocacy: Encouraging children to express preferences, ask for assistance, or share needs during the outing, building their confidence.

• Emotional Regulation: Using coping strategies to manage excitement, sensory input, or unexpected changes in a stimulating environment.

• Community Awareness: Building familiarity with public events and community traditions to enhance independence and inclusion.
