When you think you look great, but forgot you were working.

Dress Code Fail

Dress Code FailEnsure you are adhering to ACES dress code during telehealth sessions.

One of you looks great, but the other one looks like they like to drink wine in a horror movie.

Lighting Fail and Appropriate Background FailNatural light is best for you and the client to see each other clearly (avoid backlighting). You may need to help the family with lighting, too. In addition, ensure your background is free from distractions and is professional.

Peek-a-boo, I don’t see you!

Full Face in Frame Fail

Full Face in Frame FailArrange cameras so both you and your client can see each other clearly and make eye contact (directly in front of the face and at eye level is best).

Social Distancing Please!!!

Appropriate Space Fail

Appropriate Space FailMake sure you aren’t too close or too far away from the camera.

When you are trying to get in your steps while you are working.

Movement and Monitor Arrangement FailProp up your iPad rather than holding it and refrain from walking around during telehealth sessions as much as possible.

You’re working, but your husband wants to know when dinner will be ready.

Privacy Fail

Privacy FailChoose a quiet area to ensure there are no distractions/interruptions and no one can view your session

In all seriousness, please remember to remain professional and keep your clinical quality high as you would during in person sessions!
