Make a Plan

One of the best ways to reduce social anxiety is to have a plan. When you know what to expect, it's easier to relax and enjoy yourself. If you're going to be attending a new event or meeting new people, take some time to research the event ahead of time. This way, you'll know what to expect and you can prepare yourself mentally and emotionally.

Go to Smaller Events

Try to find social events that are small and intimate so you won't feel like you're in over your head. If possible, find events that are related to something you're interested in. This way, you'll have something to talk about and you won't feel as anxious.
