It is inspiring to find initiatives that make our society more inclusive, creating spaces for individuals rather than expecting everyone to adapt.

For too many years, neurodivergent individuals who experienced sensory processing disorders didn't have a place in public events. But our culture is changing thanks to organizations like KultureCity, which certifies staff and venues offering sensory friendly rooms and sensory bags for individuals to use when feeling overloaded at a public event.

We celebrate KultureCity because their efforts have a great impact on creating a truly inclusive society, where neurodivergent individuals have a space in public events. They can confidently attend concerts, sports events, festivals and even travel on a cruise, and know they have a safe place to step away from the crowd and noise.

Being different is beautiful, that is what makes our world shine! To recognize that, and stand for it the way KultureCity does is inspiring. It's such a joy to witness autistic individuals go to their first concert, be present and watch their favorite player at the stadium, experience life with such confidence: KultureCity makes it possible. These experiences are created for people with autism, PTSD, ADHD, and dislexia, just to name a few.

One of the staples of KultureCity is the sensory-inclusive bag, containing sensory toys and headphones to calm the nervous system. The design and quality are amazing and very effective.

KultureCity was founded by Dr Julian Maha in 2013 in Birmingham, Alabama. It is a non profit organization that provides training and certification for sensory friendly events. They also have an app to find certified events.
