As your baby grows, they hit certain milestones along the way. At five to six months, babies are developing more fine motor and communication skills. Delays in these milestones could be a potential sign of autism or other related disorders. At ACES ABA, our team is here to support you through the milestones your baby is growing through and help with developmental delays through early infant intervention.

Cognitive Milestones

At five to six months, babies will be able to track moving objects with their eyes and will begin to recognize familiar faces and objects. They may also respond to sound by turning their head in the direction of the noise. Early problem-solving skills will also begin to emerge as babies learn to reach for objects that are out of reach.
