ACES believes in supporting the autism community by giving to causes that can effect measurable change in our field. On November 17, 2015, a number of ACES staff attended “An Evening with a Legend: Vince Gill”, an event to help raise seed research funds for the University of North Texas Health Science Center. ACES and the University of North Texas Kristin Farmer Autism Center were Gold Legend Sponsors of this special evening.Boasting more than 1,600 team members and 2,200 students, the UNT Health Science Center is committed to patient-focused education, discovery, and health care. Though UNTHSC is distinguished by their aging and Alzheimer’s programs; as well as their forensic genetics department, UNTHSC is also conducting important work in the field of autism. This year’s event, “An evening with a Legent: Vince Gill”, was a memorable one for all attendees. Crowd favorites included “Take Your Memory With You” and “When I Call Your Name”. After much toe-tapping, hand-clapping, and multiple standing ovations, the night drew to a close with attendees taking pride in the knowledge that a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Seed Research Grant Fund that advances and accelerates the exploration and launch of new projects; including cutting edge autism research.Innovation is a core value at ACES. We are proud to support the University of North Texas Health Science Center in their commitment to seeking solutions for healthier communities.[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="650"]
