Early Intervention ABA Therapy

ACES offers a variety of early intervention programs for zero to three-year-olds, including Infant Stimulation, PALs, and Buddies. Each program offers a learning environment in the clinic that allows clients to generalize to new therapy stimuli, people, and environments. Therapy stimuli are selected from developmental curriculum such as the Early Start Denver model and make for a rich therapy experience. Parent participation is required in all zero to three programs and each program allows for parents to observe and participate.

ACES Learning Center (ALC)

ALC is an evidence based, comprehensive early intervention program geared toward school readiness. Small groups rotate together through age-appropriate stations (circle time, turn taking, language center, group work, 1:1 work, movement, snack and toileting). ACES Learning Center prioritizes your child's learning by implementing individualized behavior plans to help remove problem behaviors that may be barriers to their learning. Did you know that early intervention programs put your child at an advantage to learn skills before entering the school system? Check your child's progress on their Age 0-5 Milestones or what skills they should have to be prepared for Kindergarten on this Kindergarden Readiness Checklist.

ACES Peer Group

Peer social skills groups at ACES strive to bring together clients of similar skill levels, age, and interests to work on social skills in the clinic or community settings. Groups are offered for emerging, intermediate, and advanced level learners and have an emphasis on teaching social skills. Turn taking, waiting, functional communication, perspective taking, flexible thinking, problem solving, conversation skills, reading and responding to body language/facial cues are common skills targeted in these settings. Often friendships are forged by clients who participate in this program.

Weekend ABA Therapy Program

The Weekend ABA program (WABA) is a group ABA therapy program held in the ACES clinic on weekends for clients ages 5 to 12. Small groups are made of four or fewer clients with peers of similar abilities. Each client attends with their 1:1 Behavior Interventionist who is able to modify and individualize the curriculum for their client. Clients rotate to a variety of stations including: All About Me, Language Center, Small Motor, Social Games and more.

Seasonal G.A.M.E.S.

Seasonal G.A.M.E.S. is a clinic-based, group ABA program that allows clients of all ages and abilities to generalize skills with new peers and adults. Clients are placed in a small group with peers of a similar age and ability to work on social, communication and adaptive skills to help them reach personal independence. Seasonal G.A.M.E.S. is available for our clients during school vacations and holidays when it's so important to take advantage of ABA generalization opportunities. Underutilized or Makeup hours can be used to attend this program with peers.

ACES Peer Groups

ACES offers pre-teen and teen groups to bring together clients of similar skill level, age, and interests to work on social skills that will help them make and keep friends. Community outings are planned by the pre-teens and teens based on locations that they want to access and enjoy outside of the ABA group. Often pre-teen and teen groups will practice and plan for an outing, attend the outing together, and finally review the outing. In addition to social groups for teens, ACES offers an adolescent health series to teach pre-teens and teens about their changing bodies and everyday health.

Adolescent Health Series

As your client begins their road through adolescence to adulthood, some main factors to consider on their journey is their physical and mental health as well as their understanding of sexually and appropriate behaviors. ACES provides a three part program to offer clients a safe setting to learn important health and safety information in a way they will understand.

Through fun and engaging lessons, students will be taught information on the following topics:

  • Relationships, Puberty and Sexual Health
  • Cyber Safety
  • Health and Nutrition

PEERS®

The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) PEERS is an evidence-based social skills program targeting adolescent and young adults with ASD to support teens and young adults in learning social skills in a structured class like setting. The program teaches socially valid skills based on the behavior of successful Indvidual's and supports generalization of these skills to "real life" situations.
