Checklist to Begin Parent Training Using Telehealth

  • Technology device such as an iPad or computer (If you need one, ACES can provide one)
  • Internet access
  • Ethernet cable (if in rural area)
  • Zoom App and Link (ACES will provide)
  • Suitable setting with few distractions and adequate lighting
  • Materials such as pen and paper or video of your child to share with clinician
  • Begin Your First Telehealth Session!

Checklist to Begin Direct ABA Using Telehealth

  • Technology device such as an iPad or computer (If you need one, ACES can provide one)
  • Internet access
  • Ethernet cable (if in rural area)
  • Zoom App and Link (ACES will provide)
  • Suitable setting with few distractions and adequate lighting
  • Materials for your child to engage with (toys, play doh, art supplies, bubbles, puzzles, board games)
  • Materials to support your child (token economy, flash cards to make sentence strips, timers, visual schedules)
  • Things your child likes (to use as positive reinforcers)
  • Begin your first Telehealth Session!

Sample Therapy Area

It is important that we have clearly defined areas in your home. We can use some areas for various activities and can transition between spaces as needed. On our first visit we will work together to set up for the ABA session

Areas of your home we may use for a session:

  • Play area
  • Work area (table)
  • Snack area
  • Reading area
  • Outside area
  • Self help area (kitchen/restroom)
