Once a year, at about this time, we are reminded to be thankful and grateful for what we have and for the people in our lives. We’ve heard the phrase “a little gratitude goes a long way”. That’s an important reminder to take the time to express that we are appreciative and grateful for the little things. This gives us a chance to convey our gratitude on a regular basis by saying “thank you” for doing that, for your support and cooperation. I’ve heard it said that “people don’t always remember what you do but they do remember how you make them feel.”From a practical point of view, it is important to tell our own family members how much we are grateful for their everyday support and cooperation. It’s hard enough to get through a day with all the ongoing challenges and difficulties. Let’s not miss a chance to thank those around us and show our own gratitude. I don’t think you can say “thank you” too many times. Adding a specific reason helps the person know what they did that you are grateful about.
